Founded by Amy Connell, AC Beauty Academy was created from a genuine passion for makeup, beauty, and the confidence that comes from feeling truly seen. With over seven years of experience in the beauty industry, Amy began her journey humbly — working from the spare room of her home on weekends while balancing a full-time job. What started as a love for empowering women quickly grew into a thriving salon and education platform built on skill, care, and community.
Today, Amy is a multi-award-winning brow artist with extensive qualifications in brows, lashes, and makeup. She also holds a worldwide recognised qualification in education and training, allowing her to blend her expertise with her love for teaching. Her greatest passion lies in guiding aspiring artists — whether beginners or professionals looking to upskill — helping them grow, evolve, and build confidence in both their craft and their careers.
Located in the heart of Callan, AC Beauty Academy is designed to be more than a salon. It is a warm, friendly, non-judgmental space where clients can unwind, feel valued, and take a moment of self-care away from busy schedules. Amy’s approach centres on making every person feel heard, seen, and uplifted — leaving not only looking beautiful, but feeling it too.
Upcoming online programs include accredited and non-accredited courses in hybrid brows, HD brows, waxing, makeup, eyelash extensions, business development strategy & mindset training & specialised masterclasses. Students will learn the full spectrum — from essential skills and safe practice, to industry insights and the tools needed to build a successful beauty career or simply master new skills for themselves.
